Job Title : Test System Developer (Sensors characterization)
This is a 100% on-site role.
Overview :
Our Sensors Team spearheads the development of groundbreaking products in Augmented and Virtual Reality. We're at the forefront of AR/VR research and development, pushing boundaries with innovative sensor and sensing systems. Our mission is to pave the way for the future of AR/VR products by delivering cutting-edge technologies. We're seeking candidates with expertise in test system setup and sensor characterization to join our RL Sensors Team. In this role, you'll collaborate with experts across various domains to develop novel hardware and software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Create PC-based software test solutions for sensor characterization, including accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, pressure sensors, and ultrasonic sensors.
- Develop and deploy software to test electrical and mechanical sensor parameters using Matlab, Python, and/or LabVIEW.
- Enhance test software scalability, promote code reuse, and ensure test accuracy and repeatability.
- Document best practices and utilize internal infrastructure to automate data analysis and report generation tasks.
- Establish and maintain infrastructure for reliable data collection.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience developing test data analysis software or scripts using Matlab, Python, or similar programming environments.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
- Experience in developing unit, system, and corner-case tests for PC-based software.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronics using test equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in semiconductor, sensor, and/or MEMS test development.
- Experience with developing and debugging embedded firmware.
- Familiarity with analog and digital hardware development at the PCB level.
- Proven ability in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
- Familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies.
Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills:
- Proficiency in Python coding.
- Experience with version control systems.
- Proficiency in developing unit, system, and corner-case tests for PC-based software.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in semiconductor, sensor, and/or MEMS test development.
- Experience with developing and debugging embedded firmware.
