Future Colossal, an award-winning innovation lab for experiential technologies in advertising, entertainment, and art, is seeking a Unity Game Artist, Lead for a senior full-time position.

Lead the development and implementation of technology-focused projects for original and massively multiplayer online games. Act as a visual converter of complex technical information in graphic design, web design, and game products. Manage Unity's integration with depth cameras. Participate in meetings regarding the design, features, and functionality of products and follow the latest trends and announcements in VR, AR, MR, gaming, and multi-media art. Architect Unity projects, organize tools to use, develop app features, and deliver app builds. Employing technology and design to sketch and prepare 2D compositing, Graphic Design, 3D modeling/animation, and video compositing for original and massively multiplayer online games. Direct UX design in line with technical capabilities. Responsible for programing (Unity C#, C++), physical computing, and AV knowledge. Implement technical solutions for projects. Work with the team to concept and execute compelling interactive experiences for brands, including collaborating with designers and hardware fabricators to ensure technical feasibility of designs. Lead quality assurance initiatives. Develop a technology roadmap. Build flexible, integrated designs that will support a multitude of gameplay features. Work with other leads and managers to identify new pitches and improvements. Manage technical documentation processes. Identify and mitigate technical risks. Follow best practices for design and code standards. Work in an agile environment with short turn projects. Mentor and grow technical talent within discipline/function.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a Master of Fine Arts in Design & Technology, Design Engineering, or related field
  • Must have one (1) year of experience in designing for live operation games, including mobile games.
  • Must have experience utilizing skills such as: Unity, Google Slides, Unity with Mapbox, Illustrator, iOS Development.
  • Must have experience in technologies such as: C++ Development, Python Development, Native Development, TouchDesigner Environment, Unreal Engine Environment, Physical computing/custom electronics, Theatrical Lighting, and Projection-Mapping.
  • Hands-on practice with UI/UX design and/or development is required.
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/projects in a manner that enables timely completion.

Salary $90,958-$110,000 per year. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
