Compound Photonics (CP) is providing state of the art Augmented/Mixed Reality (AR/MR) displays to leading AR/MR hardware companies and we are GROWING!

Our real-time video pipeline is designed to enable the extreme performance requirements of AR/MR systems. This together with supporting the key light modulation technologies (Amplitude/Phase Liquid Crystal & microLED) provides a robust roadmap which will propel CP in supporting the future generations of real time displays.

We are currently seeking key Operational and Technical staff to deliver on the promise of AR/MR as the next Computing Platform.

Role

Project Manager in support of LCD development and manufacturing.

Responsible for managing various projects that can span individual components thru full up shrink wrapped products.

Responsible for the technical management and support of engineering development and manufacturing projects. The Project Manager will manage and lead a cross functional team of skilled process and development engineers. The Project Manager 1) develops, manages and tracks schedules, resources, budgets and 2) communicates risks and priorities. The successful candidate will be following up on day to day activities with the engineering team having the top level project goals in sight at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional development teams
  • Work closely with Product Development teams NPI BOM’s accuracy and transfer to Supply Chain teams.
  • Management and tracking of development schedules
  • Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks
  • Drive suppliers, integrate their deliverables and schedules into the project
  • Communicating status and the big picture to the project team and management
  • Project risk assessment

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills verbally and written
  • Experience with portable consumer electronics devices
  • Strong technical background an asset
  • Experienced in setting up project schedules and work breakdown structures
  • Product Design Experience of Consumer Electronic Products.
  • Highly experienced with ERP and Change Management systems.
  • Ability to travel internationally

Education, Experience Or Formal Training

Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5-10 years minimum experience in Project Management of high volume product development (ideally consumer electronics).

  • Advanced computer skills

  • Microsoft Office

Working Environment/Physical Activities

Office environment for design and project work to comprise approximately 100%.

No heavy lifting required.
