This is a time- limited paid internship funded by ACCES –VR that offers a work-based learning experience to assist students ages 14-21 prepare for competitive, integrated employment. Interns will paid at least minimum wage for the time they participate and will utilize this opportunity to explore a variety of career paths to acquire transferable and marketable job skills consistent with their career goals and vocational interests.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Students will build confidence and learn essential skills in a job setting of their choice.
  • Students will exhibit behavior that is appropriate for a work setting and should be able to be redirected with minimal intervention.
  • Students are expected to be receptive to counseling and guidance about the importance of appropriate workplace behavior.
  • Students are expected to be motivated to participate in the work-based learning program at the site they have chosen for internship completion.

  • Authorized ACCES-VR participant; between ages of 14-21.
  • Have Valid identification for onboarding purposes.
