What the role is


The Virtual Reality (VR) and Installation Tech role is pivotal in advancing CrossVine's (ChaseDesign’s Research Facility) Virtual Reality research initiatives across designated US Satellite sites. As the primary technical resource, the incumbent will oversee the daily operation and execution of VR hardware and software at remote sites, ensuring seamless functionality and support for research teams. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in expanding research efforts after standard work hours including nights upon request, providing skilled installation services and facility support to optimize research environments. With a commitment to flexibility and client satisfaction, this role balances technical expertise with hands-on installation responsibilities, ensuring the smooth progression of research activities and the fulfillment of client needs. Through meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving, the incumbent will contribute to the success and innovation of VR initiatives, fostering collaborative partnerships with Business Unit/Customer Teams and driving impactful research outcomes.

As a VR and Installation Tech, you will:

Primary Role:

  • Technical resource to expand CrossVine’s VR research to US Satellite site locations of Business Unit/Customer Team choosing. Travel to and from satellite sites (TBD) throughout the US.
  • Responsible for the operation and execution of the CrossVine supplied VR hardware and software, associated video, audio and recording equipment, streaming of content at the Satellite site as well as enabling external Teams virtual meetings for that research.
  • Support for the execution of VR research, set up/preparation of mobile physical VR equipment for research, general satellite site IT services related to technology operation and connectivity.

Secondary Role:

  • Serve as a Skilled Installer during periods when Satellite site research is not ongoing, responsible for expanding research efforts after normal weekday hours.
  • Work flexible hours, typically 12 pm to 9 pm at the CrossVine offices, with potential for daytime shifts if evening research is not scheduled or additional support is required during normal working hours.
  • Attend to clients’ needs for evening research as well as be the last employee at the facility, responsible for shut down and securing the facility before leaving for the evening.
  • Installation and set-up of fixtures and POG sets, signage and displays, exhibits, kiosks within the lab facility as well as overall facility preparation as needed for shopper research.
  • Purchase products in-store and online to fulfill the POG product requirements that are supplied.

  • Are motivated to develop deep expertise in technical software to leverage all the capabilities it provides.
  • Enjoy building knowledge and skills and are excited to reapply that learning to train/mentor others.
  • The role is based in Cincinnati and must be able to work on site Monday - Friday and comfortable with travel
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
