Role Description
This role is for Dope VR Technicians on a 1099, as-needed basis, primarily supporting our IMPACT (www.iamadopenerd.org) activations with students aged 12+, across school districts and universities. Responsibilities include preparing VR headsets, actively engaging with young participants, troubleshooting any issues with the VR equipment, and managing setup and breakdown processes. Travel within Baltimore City is required. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for all participants.
This role includes substantial support and guidance. Initially, you will shadow seasoned professionals, including the opportunity to learn directly from our company leaders. This supportive environment ensures that you are well-prepared to handle all aspects of the job, from technical troubleshooting to participant engagement.
Compensation
This role offers $30 per hour for five hours of work per activation, totaling $150 per engagement. May has 10 to 15 activations scheduled. We are proud to offer a competitive rate that reflects the people skills, customer service, and enthusiasm we seek in our team members.
Travel Requirements
Travel within Baltimore City is required and should be managed by the employee. For activations outside Baltimore, travel expenses will be covered by Dope Nerds, ensuring our team can focus on delivering exceptional educational experiences without incurring additional costs.
