Instructional Designer is an integral part of the Learning and Development team and will play a pivotal role in the conception, design, and implementation of innovative competency-based curriculum and eLearning solutions for adult learnings and professional staff (nurses, educators, clinicians, senior managers.)
Responsibilities
Instructional Designer Responsiblities:
- Design and develop competency-based curriculum and e-learning modules using interactive and immersive learning methodologies such as synchronous and asynchronous delivery, mobile-first delivery, extended reality (XR, AR, and VR), 360 video, as well as 2D video and desktop game-style learning.
- Develop modes of assessment and evaluation in collaboration with the project team, to measure the effectiveness of learning modules and activities.
- Manage multi-phase projects that include engaging a variety of subject matter experts; utilizing appropriate pedagogy for adult learners and practicing clinicians; and authoring products in a SCORM compliant environment.
- Develop content for a variety of learning management systems (LMS)
Additional Responsibilities
- Occasionally support Learning and Development Specialist with in-class or virtual instruction.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing learning materials to ensure they remain relevant, engaging, and in line with the latest educational standards and technological advancements.
- Participate in organization wide committees as assigned.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in eLearning, instructional design, and educational technology.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Instructional Designer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master's degree preferred with strong knowledge and application of adult learning principles and methodologies and experience building branching scenarios, preferably in a healthcare or education setting.
- Three+ years instructional design experience including technical competency and proficiency in a variety of programs and platforms, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, Lectora, EasyGenerator, Camtasia, Captivate Snagit, and other SCORM-compliant tools.
- Experience developing training for Extended Reality (VR/MR/AR) is a plus.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Ability to effectively reconcile and synthesize complex and disparate opinions in a group of SMEs.
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead and participate in interprofessional teams
