ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY


Join Audio Research Team, where we push the boundaries of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. As a Research Assistant, you'll collaborate with a diverse team to explore novel interfaces and hardware subsystems. This role offers hands-on experience in supporting human subject research studies, providing access to cutting-edge technology and resources.


THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU


  • Understand and execute study objectives, including informed consent collection and data annotation.
  • Conduct literature reviews and assist with participant recruitment and scheduling.
  • Help design experiments, provide feedback, and prepare equipment for studies.
  • Ensure industry-leading standards of safety, privacy, and security are maintained throughout the research process.


KEY SUCCESS FACTORS


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related research area.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and personal management skills.
  • Experience in a research/academic environment involving human subjects.
  • Proficiency in IT, including filesystems, secure shell, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or MacOS (command line and GUI).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors in the field of psychology (e.g. neuroscience), cognitive science (e.g., artificial intelligence), computer science (e.g., human-computer interaction), engineering (e.g., human-factors), or a closely related research area

- Experience analyzing data and/or designing research protocols

- Experience collecting user interaction data and working with related technical equipment (e.g., inertial sensing with IMUs, optical sensing, EMG).

- Some knowledge of scripting and/or coding, preferably with experience in Matlab, Python, JavaScript, or other languages.
