Role Overview:

Join our client’s regional medical center as a Diagnostic Radiologist with the option to perform mammography. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic radiology services across various modalities and potentially read mammography studies, including stereotactic biopsies, needle localization, and biopsies.


Compensation: Based on Experience (BOE)

Location: Bay County, Florida


Schedule:

• Shifts: Monday-Sunday, 8 AM - 5 PM

• Weekends: Diagnostic only, 8 AM - 5 PM

• Minimum # of Shifts per Month: 7

• Length of Assignment: ongoing

• Setting: Inpatient


Responsibilities:

• Being proficient in all areas of diagnostic radiology, including CT, ultrasound, MRI, fluoroscopy, and PET

• Reading mammography studies, including stereotactic biopsies, needle localization, and biopsies (if qualified)

• Working with a modality split of XR 45%, CT 29%, US 13%, NM 6%, MR 2.5%, PET 1.8%, and IR 1.7%

• Managing annual diagnostic volumes of XR 58,728, CT 38,078, US 16,826, NM 7,626, MRI 3,238, and PET 2,296

• Handling an annual IR volume of 1,590 and mammography volume of 2,278

• Meeting RVU expectations of at least 6 per hour

• Utilizing Nuance for voice recognition and Centricity for PACS

• Using the Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system


Qualifications:

• Active Florida medical license (must have at time of presentation)

• Active DEA registration for all onsite work

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Radiology

• MQSA certification if performing mammography

• Clean malpractice history and background for temporary privileges

• Curriculum Vitae (CV) with all dates in MM/YY to MM/YY format and any gaps over 30 days explained

• All licenses and certifications with expiration dates listed on CV

• Availability to work at least 7 shifts per month

• Availability to speak with clinical leadership
