About The Client

We're looking for a motivated Junior Robot Wrangler to join our team on a contract basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about robotics and technology, who's eager to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the advancement of robotic applications.

Job Overview

The Junior Robot Wrangler will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating our client’s diverse fleet of robots. This position involves light maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and remote operation of robots via VR interfaces and other control systems. We're seeking a problem-solver with a keen interest in technology, a quick learner, and someone who can effectively communicate with both team members and machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs on robotic units.
  • Remotely operate robots using VR interfaces and other control systems to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of operational manuals, maintenance procedures, and training materials.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to provide insights on robot performance and suggest improvements.
  • Engage in ongoing training to remain current with the latest robotics technologies and operational techniques.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during robot operations.
  • Support the robotics team as needed, including preparing robots for deployment and contributing to R&D projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in robotics, engineering, computer science, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Interest or experience in VR technology and remote operation systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a rapidly evolving field.
  • Prior experience with robotics or technical support is a plus but not required.
