Sony is seeking a proactive and results-driven XR (Extended Reality) Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of XR technologies, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in developing and nurturing strategic partnerships within the XR ecosystem. As an XR Business Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth through the establishment of key partnerships and collaborations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for XR business growth.
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan aligned with organizational objectives and XR market dynamics.
- Partnership Identification and Management:
Identify and evaluate potential partners within the XR industry, including technology providers, content creators, and distribution channels.
Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to form strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Deal Negotiation and Contract Management:
Support negotiations for business agreements, collaborations, and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms for all parties.
Manage the development and execution of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to align business development strategies with overall company goals.
Work closely with technical teams to understand product capabilities and provide input into partnership discussions.
- Revenue Growth and Target Achievement:
Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth through new partnerships and business opportunities.
Meet or exceed revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Proven experience in business development within the XR industry or related technology sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of XR technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR)
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $84,000 to $112,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
