As Computer Vision Software Engineer on the Reality Labs team at Meta, you can help build new, innovative products that radically redefine the way people work, play and connect. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of Computer Vision-related problems in VR and AR including Neural Avatars, 3D Reconstruction, Novel View Synthesis, Depth Estimation, Non-Rigid Tracking, Neural Rendering, 3D Generative-AI, and Scene Understanding.

Computer Vision Engineer (University Grad) Responsibilities:

  • Apply relevant Computer Vision related techniques to build systems that improve Meta's products and experiences
  • Develop Computer Vision related algorithms and advanced systems for large scale processing and applications
  • Develop methodology and benchmarks to evaluate different approaches
  • Understand why some signals and model configurations work while others don't and be able to drive more gain from these findings
  • Solve complex Computer Vision problems and compare alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and diverse points of view to determine a path forward
  • Contribute to pipelines that advances Meta products VR/MR and AR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Experience developing computer vision algorithms or computer vision infrastructure in C/C++ or Python
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Computer Vision, AR/VR, 3D Vision, Robotics, Deep Learning, Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or in the process of obtaining a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Experience with large-scale, distributed systems
  • Experience with on-device algorithm development
  • Experience in deep learning and pytorch
  • Experience contributing to academic publications on computer vision or related topics (e.g. CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, and SIGGRAPH)
  • Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).
  • Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and diverse points of view to determine a path forward.
  • Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment.
