Job Description
Position: VR Hardware EngineerDuration: 1 year with possible extensionLocation: Onsite Sunnyvale, CABenefits: Employee benefits at 100% including Medical, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K Plan, and much more!Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/WeekRole:- Collaborate with the team to develop testing strategies for VR and AR products.- Conduct system-level testing to ensure hardware and software integration.- Operate within VR environments for extended periods (up to half a day) to perform testing and analysis.- Develop automation scripts, with a focus on Python, to streamline testing processes.- Set up and maintain testing equipment and VR environments.- Collaborate closely with team members and participate in daily meetings to plan and execute tests.- Ensure timely completion of assigned, tasks and meet project deadlines.- Provide technical insights into hardware-software interactions and system-level performance.- Troubleshoot and document hardware issues, providing feedback to the development team. Skills:- Strong scripting skills, with expertise in Python.- Experience in system-level testing and hardware-software integration.- Familiarity with VR and AR technologies.- Ability to adapt to and work comfortably within VR environments.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and in a team.- Prior beta testing or personal VR experience is a plus.Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
