Role Summary
The ideal candidate will be an essential part of the Design Loft team and responsible for the production of visual assets utilizing 3D model visualization, motion graphics, video, photography, etc. to create compelling presentations & content to display and describe the work of Design Loft with the highest level of creativity, quality & professionalism. The candidate will be responsible for handling the “assets” which create the face of Audi Design to the internal & external clients. The work would be used in three primary areas; 1. Pre-program - Educating and inspiring the design team with compelling program briefs, 2. Program – providing (Design) Leadership with review and update materials needed to make time sensitive decisions and 3. Media for the purpose and use in Executive Presentations, media releases and other external communications.
Role Responsibilities
Main responsibility – 65% of time spent
- Working directly with (Design Loft leadership in the development and implementation of the studio’s Visualization Program and leadership directive in creating the “Future of the Creative Process”. Constantly researching and evaluating emerging (applicable) technologies that will enable the studio to embody the “Future of the Creative Process” (Animations, Videos, VR, AR, etc.). This role will impact the (Studio Design) process in that the candidate will be expected to be a subject expert in the field of digital design technologies andwill provide the information and recommendations that studio leadership will use for budgeting/planning investments in digital assets
Additional responsibilities –25% of time
- Using Photography and Video, create and maintain a database for programs which would then be used in the Audi “DNA” – The internal site for Audi Design (Ingolstadt)
- Manage assets within the Visualization Program, interpreting strategy into visual depictions of programs and studio activities
- Help support / facilitate external events, working with vendors for the Design Loft and Audi of America
- Trend Awareness, tracking and reporting out on influencing factors in areas such as design, architecture, technology, methods, etc
Additional responsibilities –10% of time
- Develop an internal website which would be used as a tool for studio communications and PR
- (local) IT oversight & support, working in conjunction with VW Group IT specialists to establish & maintain studio IT infrastructure

Qualifications
Years of Experience:
- 7 – 10 years of relevant experience
Education – Required
- BFA/Digital Media or BS/Transportation Design
Education – Desired
- Advanced training on visualization software/systems such as but not limited to Alias, V Red, Adobe Creative Suite, Solid Works, Gaming Engines, Rhino, Modo, etc
Skills
- Exceptional creativity, judgment and sensitivity in the execution of studio media to a standard which embodies the Audi Brand
Specialized Skills – Required
- Exceptional skills in the field of Digital Media & Design Visualization
- Motion graphics for video and production graphics for presentations
- Advanced knowledge & proficiency with current/industry standard 3D modeling & visualization tools
- Knowledge of setting up and running VR environments
- Photo & Videography for project recordkeeping and various internal & external presentations
- Art Direction and production editing
- Web development (internal)
Specialized Skills – Desired
- Programs & tools such as but not limited to Alias, V Red, Adobe Creative Suite, Solid Works, Gaming Engines, Rhino, Modo, etc.
- IT set up and maintenance, working knowledge of systems, networks & data management
Work Flexibility
- Occasional long hours as dictated by program & presentation scheduling, location and optimal lighting during photo/video shoots as well as unpredictable nature of the creative process
Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.
In the city of Los Angeles, CA, the salary range $88,500.00 - $128,400.00.
