Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced C# software developer with a passion for creating innovative story-driven experiences and video games on mobile, virtual reality and augmented reality platforms.

Successful candidates will be able to work from home and join a diverse and collaborative Winnipeg-based team.

Responsibilities

You will be working as part of the technical team to develop and polish original and highly innovative interactive experiences. Working directly with the team lead, you will be called upon to solve technical problems in creative ways while forming part of the backbone for some of our most ambitious projects. 

• Contribute high-quality code in a collaborative and thoughtful way 

• Help solve novel or complex technical challenges 

• Develop software using Unity3D and related technologies 

• Work closely with the art, design and narrative teams to integrate 3D assets, designs and audio/visual elements 

• Create and maintain documentation including all aspects of the code 

• Participate in testing and provide feedback for gameplay improvements 

• Attend meetings (in-person in Winnipeg and/or over video call) with the team as required

An Ideal Candidate: 

• Bachelors degree or college diploma in computer science and/or related experience.

• Highly proficient with programming, modern practices and frameworks, debugging, and designing solutions in the C# language

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a team and independently as required in an agile environment 

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills including demonstrated ability to use lateral thinking, while also knowing when to ask for help from other team members

• Understanding of wireframes, prototypes, and familiarity with HCI research a plus 

Strong Assets: 

• Understanding of Unity3D and can demonstrate the use of the software  

• Competency in the areas of game development

• VR or AR experience

• Understanding and passion of AI technologies

Notes:

Preference is given to those who have experience creating a video game or interactive experience in a team setting and who live in Manitoba.
