ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Contractor Worker for VR Optics TPM who will be responsible for optical component or sub-system design, development or test of next generation VR headsets. The expectation of the role is to oversee the lifecycle of optical component or sub-system projects, provide technical expertise and project management leadership to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products to our customers, spanning NTI through NPI with a focus on converging designs for products and taking them to market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with other VR Optical System TPM and other component TPMs to lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, design, and manufacturing, to develop state-of-the-art sub-system for VR applications.
  • Manage the VR Optics component, subsystem, or testing metrology including the entire product development cycle from concept to mass production, ensuring schedule, cost and quality bounds.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, establish project timelines, lead vendor engagements and deliver against milestones.
  • Work with the Sourcing team to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Monitor and optimize the performance of the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery of products while minimizing costs.
  • Organize and present reports to management on product development and project status in regular program forums and to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for safety, quality, and environmental performance.


Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Materials or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical program management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of System design, Optics technologies and their application in VR.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Ability to work across time zones


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Hands-on Experience as an engineer in optics, material or VR hardware development.
  • Proven track record in Optics technology innovation or system design in consumer electronics space
  • Familiarity with current trends and advancements in VR technology
  • Experience managing international vendors
  • PMI or PMP certification a plus.
