MetaWorks Technical Program Management (TPM) is at the forefront of shaping the Future of Work in Virtual Reality (VR). Our TPMs operate at the intersection of technical execution and business strategy, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and Go To Market teams. This role demands a strong technical background, a deep understanding of system architecture, and the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and organizations to drive results.As a Future of Work TPM, you will leverage your technical expertise, a passion for exceptional products, and a commitment to enhancing work experiences. You'll manage intricate programs that deliver core capabilities supporting employees, companies, and developers as they embrace Virtual Reality (VR) in their workspaces. Your responsibility encompasses VR platform and Experience Programs that empower businesses to deploy Mixed Reality (MR) and VR hardware, along with immersive software experiences for professional use. Working closely with top-tier development teams and leaders across the organization, you'll lead the charge in delivering pioneering VR Work solutions.

Technical Program Manager, VR Responsibilities:

  • Build, manage, and set direction at the program level for teams and individual team members, ensuring their success.
  • Establish strong relationships, and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define needs and support strategic planning and execution, including metrics, program requirements, and scope.
  • Lead technical discussions as a cross-functional partner, providing thought leadership during product reviews, and designing and implementing process and strategy frameworks that facilitate goal-setting, decision-making, and business impact.
  • Integrate technical knowledge, and subject matter expertise to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and oversee end-to-end project plans, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Provide hands-on program management throughout the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Manage risks and changes effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience as a program manager, leading complex software development programs.
  • Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Proficiency in gathering user requirements and defining project scope.
  • Proven communication skills, including translating non-technical requirements into technical discussions and vice versa.
  • Experience articulating features and system details effectively.
  • Experience working with technical teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Experience in complex and highly scalable web applications or media products.
  • Background in working with product teams to develop and deliver end-to-end customer-focused products, with technical knowledge of underlying platforms and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing B2b products, Work social, technologies, or platforms.
  • Experience in managing developer relationships or coordinating roadmaps and deliverables with third parties.
  • Background in enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) or direct interaction with businesses and customers.
  • Experience guiding products through the entire lifecycle, incorporating customer feedback into product requirements, prioritizing features, and overseeing pre/post-launch execution.
