A Virtual Reality 3D Modeler job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have significant skills & experience in Real-Time 3D-engines such as Unity and Unreal; ideally with knowledge in Polygonal Retopology.

Virtual Reality 3D Modeler Job Duties

• Development of real-time and virtual reality applications within the aerospace industry
• Retopology of CAD models
• Models are heavy and complicated, so the job requires the modeler to balance polycount reduction within time-constraints
  
  

Qualifications

• DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR WORK, US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
• Associate degree in media arts or similar certification required
• 3D Modeling using software such as Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Blender
• Solid understanding of Polygonal modeling workflows
• Proficient in game-engine pipelines
• Proficient in UV mapping and texturing
• Good understanding of proper edge-flow
  
  

Desired Skills

• 3D Real-time Engine knowledge: Unity, Unreal
• 2D Software knowledge: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
• Familiarity with retrieving content from engineering data storage and management systems such as Teamcenter
  
  

Compensation

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $72,800 to $76,960. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
