- Create detailed design documentation, including game design documents (GDDs).
- Balance gameplay elements, progression, and difficulty to create enjoyable experiences.
- Collaborate with artists to create visual assets that align with the game's design.
- Prototype and iterate on game concepts to refine gameplay mechanics.
- Collect and analyze player feedback to enhance the gaming experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, player preferences, and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with developers to implement and test game features.
- Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Game Designer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of game design principles and player psychology.
- Proficiency in game design tools and documentation (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, GDDs).
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative and engaging game ideas.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Passion for gaming and staying current with industry trends.
- Experience with level design and game scripting.
- Familiarity with game analytics and metrics.
- Knowledge of virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) game design.
- Previous experience with mobile, console, or PC game development.
- Understanding of narrative design and storytelling in games.
