The Product Marketing team influences early stage product development and roadmaps, creates go-to-market plans, supports in-market growth of the ecosystem, and provides direction for future investments.We are seeking an experienced product marketing leader who will be responsible for developing growth programs for our In-Market business. This role will be responsible for identifying and evaluating net new customer segments and their needs, mapping out gaps in our existing product and business, scoping programs to acquire new customers and driving cross-functional teams to action. Owning outcomes, attention to detail, problem-solving across multiple work-streams with ambiguity and working cross-functionally are essential skills for this role. This role focuses on our Smart Glasses business of today, as we prepare for a wider portfolio into the future.
Product Marketing Director, Augmented Reality In-Market Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of product marketers and enable them to achieve success for our business and in their career. Proactively detect the largest problems impacting your team's execution and make decisions that resolve and manage dependencies.
- Influence product development and support a case for business investment by synthesizing, analyzing, and implementing learnings from customer feedback sources to strengthen outcomes for product-market-fit.
- Develop and drive the business growth strategy and goals across acquisition, engagement, retention and advocacy post launch through the product life cycle.
- Build community (e.g. help others, show respect, act as an ally, onboard new employees, mentorship, drive inclusion, etc) within the product marketing organization and take an ownership mindset in organizational health by contributing to initiatives that advance, grow, and develop yourself and others.
- Partner with brand and integrated marketing on outbound marketing and advertising strategies and programs to drive awareness, adoption and long term engagement.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams to develop and execute holistic in-market programs.
- Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Partner with product leadership to influence product and business strategy with a view of customer needs and market opportunities.
- Influence financial long-range plans, portfolio strategy, investments and priorities across teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ years of experience in general management, product marketing, product management, management consulting, business strategy or a similar field
- 8 + years of demonstrated people management experience coaching and developing team members, including experience managing other leaders
- Experience in consumer products or consumer electronics
- Experience building partnerships with Product Management and cross-functional teams, and shaping product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Experience analyzing data, and translating to insights that support product development and go to market strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS/MBA degree
- Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience and/or domain knowledge in augmented reality, mixed reality, wearable devices, mobile devices, and/or hardware/software platforms
- Understands organizational health, can articulate an organizational vision, and can effectively diagnose and make recommendations to solve complex issues that may span multiple teams (including decisions around resource prioritization, top-level goal alignment, and balancing impact with team longevity)
- Experience with founding or leading a company or division and/or launching products and businesses
