You will play an active role in designing, planning, and running fast-paced research studies in a new research laboratory. The role will require technical competence in data collection and processing of biomechanical time series data, such as kinematics, EMG, and force data. You’ll work closely with prototypers, engineers, and other researchers seeking to design computing for the future!

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and conduct studies to assist the explorations in next generation computing to understand how computer users may be impacted by novel computer experiences
  • Collect and analyze biomechanical and physiological test data to understand the user’s experience and point of view
  • Develop and execute scripts to analyze and interpret time-series data.
  • Set up, maintain research laboratory equipment (up to 50 pounds), computer software, and lab supplies.
  • Document, synthesize and present data
  • Conduct literature reviews to self educate, and to help educate others
  • Integrate and synchronize research equipment and with new technologies
