Join our client's AR Gaming Studio where we are pioneering the future of gaming with a focus on Augmented Reality (AR) and User-Generated Content. We are a passionate team of creators inspired by iconic franchises like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Destiny. Our studio, backed by industry giants like Sony, is on an exciting growth trajectory, having recently secured Series C funding. In partnership with streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and others, we are set to redefine gaming experiences. Our team operates remotely with an office based in Los Angeles.

Job Description:

As the CTO, you will be the driving force in developing original IPs that resonate with fans across multiple platforms. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and leadership skills. You will be tasked with creating immersive AR gaming experiences that not only captivate our audience but also contribute to building enduring brands in the gaming world.

Minimum Responsibilities:

• Architect and design innovative AR mechanics from the ground up.
• Lead the hiring, evaluation, retention, and management of a talented technology team.
• Oversee the pre-production and post-delivery of DLCs, ensuring the game's longevity and relevance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all Unreal Engine 4 architecture, facilitating effective collaboration with teams in technical art, game design, and art.
• Cultivate a team culture of intellectual curiosity and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in the gaming industry.
• At least 2 shipped games, with a preference for AAA quality titles.
• Proficient in Unreal Engine 4, Unity, or similar custom engines.
• Proven track record in developing VR or AR products.
• Versatile experience in both startup environments and larger technical organizations.

• A hands-on leader capable of scaling a team to deliver content that meets fan expectations.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various internal teams and external partners.
