As a UX Researcher, you will contribute to multiple programs, playing a pivotal role in the Human Factors Pathfinding UXR team. Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of engineers and researchers to shape the future of computing, emphasizing physical comfort, natural motion, biomechanics, and human motor systems.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
- Designing, planning, and conducting studies to explore the impact of novel computer experiences on users.
- Collecting and analyzing biomechanical and physiological test data to gain insights into the user's experience.
- Developing and executing scripts for the analysis and interpretation of time-series data.
- Setting up and maintaining research laboratory equipment, software, and supplies.
- Documenting, synthesizing, and presenting research findings.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in human participant research.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment for data collection and processing.
- Proficiency in data analysis using computer languages like Matlab, Python, or R.
- C-Motion Visual 3D skills, including script writing and execution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Consumer product development-related research.
- Kinematics, forces, and electromyography (EMG) data.
- Human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanical analysis tools.
- Experience with various data types, including mechanical, biomechanical, anthropometrical, animation, perception, and physiological data.
- Familiarity with sensors such as three-dimensional motion capture, force plates, strain gauges, accelerometers, pressure sensors, electromyography, etc.
- Ability to synthesize data and articulate test results clearly.
- Proven track record of presenting and publishing experiments in journals and scientific conferences.
