Position: VDI (Virtual desktop infrastructure) Engineer

Location: Bentonville, AR (will need to be in Bentonville, AR on day 1, relocation is fine)

Duration: 6 months

Must Haves:

• Experience with VMWare Horizon and Horizon (HCS)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Experience with Citrix

Plusses:

• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Power CLI
• Experience with PowerShell

Day-to-Day:

The Windows Engineering VDI team is responsible for providing on-prem and cloud hosted virtual PCs for 30k associates and vendors. This team is growing as demand increases for cloud-based solutions and services. They are looking for talented candidates who have knowledge, skills, and abilities in on-prem infrastructure management, Horizon (HCS)v2, Azure Cloud IaaS management, and multiple environment hypervisor administration. This position partners closely with our Healthcare associates and global tech teams to ensure stability, security, performance, and productivity for our virtual Windows endpoints.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Design, implement, and maintain on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Manage the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth and timely delivery of software releases.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Develop and implement security controls and processes to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
