As a Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM), you will be responsible for managing Analog ICs (Integrated circuits) portfolio including negotiating strategic agreements, part costing, and supply chain management. This role is dependent on close collaboration with Electrical Engineering, Component Engineering, Product cost Engineers, Technical Operations, and other cross-functional teams. During the product development process, you are responsible for ensuring the suppliers are prepared to support the delivery of key parts on-time at specified quality, and yield parameters and are prepared to meet the ramp quantities. It is the SSM's primary objective to ensure suppliers meet or exceed commercial and technical requirements throughout the life-cycle of the product(s).

Strategic Sourcing Manager - AR/Wearables Electricals Responsibilities:

  • Be a subject matter expert in Analog IC space.
  • Leads the development of commodity or category sourcing strategies ensuring the suppliers are capable of meeting AR/Wearable's current and future technical and business requirements.
  • Continually benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated into the Reality Labs supply chain.
  • Support supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, manage the RFQ process, and drive final supplier selection in partnership with Electrical Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Leads supplier selection criteria, evaluates alternative suppliers, manages the RFQ process, and drives final supplier selection in partnership with Electrical Engineering, Component Engineering and other cross-functional partners.
  • Leads contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges, long lead time, single source, Cost challenges and any supply issue.
  • Independently develops Checks and Balances to optimize schedule flexibility while minimizing excess inventory exposure.
  • Collaborates with MPMs (Material program managers) to resolve any part shortages which affect production schedules.
  • Owns the ramp plan, risk buys, supplier capacity bring up to support production plan and forecast for all designated suppliers.
  • Leads and closes Statement of work (SOW) for all new projects to include best in class pricing, Lead times.
  • Influences supplier technology roadmaps and creates internal disruptive value-add to ensure Facebook’s system architecture and commercial requirements are met.
  • Influences team level goal setting activities.
  • Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships at the executive level.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree
  • 5+ years work experience in sourcing or related fields
  • Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, contract negotiation and supply base management.
  • Experience with material management and CTB (Clear to Build)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced engineering degree and/or MBA
  • EE engineering background and working experience with either board layout and data signal integrity, power architectures
  • 7+ years of sourcing experience managing semiconductor suppliers globally
  • Experience in Semiconductor fabs, foundry management, backend and testing
