Meta Reality Labs is on a mission to build the next computing platform by putting people at the center of emerging hardware and software technologies. In Meta Reality Labs, we have a Business Group that includes the business, marketing, insights, and sales functions. Within this team, the Product Marketing (PMM) organization leads Inbound, Product Launch Strategy, and In-Market business growth. New categories (Smart Glasses) and technologies (Augmented Reality) take time to grow adoption. We are looking for a product marketing leader who can work closely with Inbound, Go-to-Market, and In-Market teams to identify drivers which enable us to increase AR Glasses adoption faster. This may include drivers of glasses normalcy, influence on cross-Meta narratives or activations, cross-AR strategy, 0 to 1 Go-to-Market (GTM) considerations, partnership explorations, and/or net-new marketing levers. This role has significant potential to impact business strategy at Meta's scale.
Product Marketing Lead, AR Category Development Responsibilities:
- Identify strategies to reduce barrier to entry for new product categories and technologies
- Inform cross-AR strategy, inclusive of evolution of audiences, value territories, and GTM tactics across product generations
- Collaborate with product organizations to influence key product decisions based on a strong customer focus
- Develop business cases for new market entry and/or expansion opportunities with global appeal and scale
- Support annual business planning and organizational change management
- Partner with integrated marketing and PR teams to activate category defining ideas at scale, measuring impact and capturing learning post-launch
- Partner with finance and business development teams to evaluate business models, financial structures, and long-range planning models
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 15+ years of experience in marketing, product management, management consulting, business strategy or a similar field
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing developing go to market strategies and partnering closely with product teams
- 8+ years of experience with physical consumer products (eg. consumer electronics)
- Experience creating market requirement documents, including audience definition, positioning statements and value propositions
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating
- Experience building partnerships with Product Management and cross-functional teams, to shape multi-year product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Experience building, launching, and scaling products and bringing products to market
- Experience identifying and analyzing complex, long term, critical problems facing the relevant areas of the business and drove solutions for them
- Demonstrated balance of creative and analytical thinking, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework
- Experience partnering with finance and business development teams, evaluating business models, financial structures, and long-range planning models
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS/MBA degree
- General manager experience driving business growth
- Prior experience with Consumer Electronics hardware, 3rd party partnerships, and channel execution
- Experience managing a high volume of complex and ambiguous programs, with significant self-direction
- Experience leading, developing and motivating a diverse multidisciplinary team across geographical regions
- Experience and/or domain knowledge in augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, wearable devices, mobile devices, and/or hardware/software platforms
