At Meta Reality Labs, we're building devices and experiences that make people feel closer. This includes product groups for Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Home & Work, and the Metaverse, along with research and development labs and artificial intelligence teams.The Reality Labs Product Marketing team is looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about building and marketing innovative social VR products and experiences that inspire meaningful human connection, creation and self expression, and new audiences to discover VR. This leader and their team are responsible for influencing our long-range roadmap, crafting our market development strategy, leading our annual planning process, and managing our international expansion efforts. Our ideal candidate is analytical, creative, and can lead a team responsible for both strategy and incubation of new initiatives. They are a strong people manager, but not afraid to dive in and support the day-to-day work. This product marketing team is focused on how to best develop the VR category over time and identify the strategy, partnership and resources to implement that strategy. This leader will represent the long term perspective of the business, market and customer to the rest of the business. This person would be responsible for customer-centric business decision-making across functions, working closely with Business Development, Finance, Sales, Analytics, Growth, Marketing, Sales, PR, Partnerships, Legal, Privacy, and Policy and other Product Marketing teams. The ability to drive impactful growth plans across a portfolio of Quest products, while simultaneously nurturing a healthy, resilient, high-functioning team is critical.

Director, Long Range Market Development, VR Devices Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high performing team of product marketers focused on long-range market development
  • Influence long-range portfolio roadmaps with a customer-centric perspective by leveraging audience taxonomies, research, and insights from other product categories
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analytics to influence financial long-range plans, portfolio strategy, investments and priorities across teams
  • Drive our internationalization efforts to grow exponentially in Europe and Asia
  • Contribute to broader organizational health through process improvement and community-building across product marketing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 14+ years of experience in management consulting, product marketing, or product management
  • 5+ years of experience with team leadership, people management, cross-functional team leadership, or leadership
  • 5+ years of experience with consumer products, consumer electronics, or gaming
  • Experience creating integrated strategic plans that cross various product groups
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating
  • Demonstrated balance of creative and analytical thinking, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience bringing new products to market
  • Knowledge of Virtual or Augmented reality
