Job Description

The End Clients, Digital Shopping Experience team is responsible for the customer's journey all the way from researching products to making a purchase. The Understanding and Deciding team within Digital Shopping Experience oversees all initiatives related to 3D and augmented, virtual, and mixed reality. There goal is to help customers find the right product for their space by visualizing how it will look in-context. They build features across the Android and iOS mobile apps as well as the end clients website.

Project Description

Mobile app native development for Android using Kotlin to add Augmented Reality features to the End Clients Retail app.

Job Description

• Directly contribute to feature design, architecture, and implementation using native AR libraries
• Interact directly with peer developers, UX, Product Management, Design, QA and remote server-side engineering groups as part of a cohesive team
• Inspire others with your passion for mobile development
  

Basic Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with Android app development
• Solid understanding of 3D programming concepts
• Experience with ARCore and rendering libraries such as Sceneform
• Excellent interpersonal skills - you must be comfortable in small and large groups and interacting with product teams, designers, and management
• Flexible problem solving ability
• Strong product focus; we expect everyone to do what is needed to deliver the best product for our customers
• Excellent communication skills, both inside and outside the engineering team
• Someone who likes to create new things, both inside and outside the work environment
  

Must Have Skills For This Job Role

• 2+ years of development experience, 1 of which must be mobile
• 1+ Android SDK and Kotlin (preferred) or Java
• 1+ ARCore and Sceneform (or equivalent)
  

Preferred / Nice To Have Skills

• Client / vision experience
• Asynchronous RESTful APIs and JSON
• Has shipped apps / features using ARCore and Sceneform
• Strong architectural and software design experience
