As a Firmware Technical Program Manager , you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development cycle to develop the next generation of hardware to drive our industry-leading augmented reality systems. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Technical Program Manager, Firmware Responsibilities:

  • lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development cycle to develop the next generation of hardware to drive our industry-leading augmented reality systems
  • establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders
  • Develop and manage cross-functional programs, facilitating relationships across multiple teams to identify risks, manage dependencies and optimize resources
  • Drive visibility, accountability, and execution across their areas of firmware development for the organization
  • Understand technology requirements, roadmap, dependencies, evolution, and develop a plan for mitigating risks and delivering features that meet the requirements across multiple products
  • Establish expertise in the technology area, becoming the go-to escalation point for execution, leader for driving visibility across the program, and orchestrator for managing the integration across your program area
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and development processes in a quickly changing and dynamic environment, drive impact through deployment of key initiatives and garner adoption of those processes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years experience working as a software development program manager for consumer electronics.
  • 2+ years experience working on hardware projects.
  • Technical knowledge of firmware and embedded systems, experience with RTOS embedded system challenges.
  • Experience with electrical system development, test validation and characterization processes.
  • Experience using agile methodology.
  • Experience with phase gate approach to technology development projects.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects.
