WHO YOU ARE

You are an accounting professional with 2+ years ofAR and/or corporate collections experience including interaction with international customers.You embody professionalism, assertiveness, and ambition to drive effective collections, while also valuing strong relationship-building skills to ensure positive client interactions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be responsible for the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving client billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. This position reports to the Senior Managerial Accountant.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT

  • Process ACH and credit card payments over the phone and issue dunning notices to our customers for past due amounts.
  • Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports, and issue monthly customer’s Statement of Accounts.
  • Research disputes with clients regarding outstanding balances and investigate discrepancies over which invoices have been paid.
  • Coordinate with regional leaders when client is deemed uncollectable, issuance of Notice of Termination, if applicable, and sent to AR Supervisor for bad debt write off.
  • Maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion to recover outstanding payments in a professional manner while maintaining client relations.
  • Follow up on past due invoices via phone call on the first of each month (including clients who have provided a notice to terminate), in efforts to receive promise to pay. Negotiates partial repayments and payment plans when necessary.
  • Update notes, communication summary, promise-to-pay dates, and status on collections tracker and apply late fees to outstanding invoices.
  • Collaborate with Billing Coordinator and AR Analyst from each region to create and streamline the collections process.
  • Follow up with Billing Coordinator as to when client's AR balances should be reconciled and forward any misapplied payments, billing discrepancies and corrections as needed.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as company policies, and collaborate with lawyers if legal action is required.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of AR or corporate collections experience including interaction with international customers
  • Experience with Quadient or YayPay a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required
  • Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus, since many calls will be placed overseas to our international clients
  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
  • Preference given to applicants with Professional Collection Specialist (PCS) designation

COMPENSATION

Base Salary $40,000 + monthly incentive (up to $1,000/month based on meeting KPIs) + monthly company bonus (up to 10% based on company's performance). Total compensation up to $56,000.
