As an AR Software Integration Technical Program Manager at Reality Labs, you will lead a cross-functional core team through the Product Development Process (from early concept phase to launch) to develop and launch industry-leading AR products. You will be defining and driving highly complex, cross-functional plans for new product introductions and will lead the execution including planning of requirements, managing schedules, identifying and tracking risks and associated mitigations. You will be responsible for communication of program status and risk to program stakeholders. This is a highly visible role, requiring an experienced leader with strong technical skills and business acumen; skilled at communicating with all levels of the company. Technical Program Manager, AR Software Integration Responsibilities:
- Develop software roadmaps based on business, product and technical requirements
- Lead cross functional teams implementing the roadmap from an early stage of development through launch. Lead launch/release activities as it pertains to software features and deliverables.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features.
- Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project status, and identify/address potential setbacks.
- Develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment. Evangelize those practices to enable them to scale across different products.
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans.
- Work with user research and dogfooding teams coordinating user feedback to improve user experience.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.
- Identify resources needed and work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.
- Up to 15% travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager or Software Product Manager managing software programs from inception to launch.
- Experience launching consumer products and/or delivering large software releases.
- Experience developing software roadmaps for complex consumer products.
- Knowledge of program and issue tracking tools and software dashboards.
- Experience building and curating relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.
