Expected compensation: $85.00 - $96.00 per hour

HireArt is helping the world's largest social network find a VR Experiences Prototyper to design and build prototypes that help define the future of media/entertainment in AR/VR at the intersection of video and interactive experiences.

In this role, your work will be used in user research studies, technology demos and proof of concept prototypes.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who has 5+ years of prototyping experience. You are a highly creative individual who has expertise in 3D interactive experiences and proficiency in Unity.

As a VR Experiences Prototyper, You'll

  • Design, develop, document and provide support for experiential VR/MR prototypes.
  • Advise and work directly with development teams building VR entertainment experiences while leveraging your interaction design and development skills.
  • Give and solicit feedback to quickly solve issues with your cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with building interactive prototypes in short time frames and various levels of fidelity, including working with 3D assets and tools
  • 3+ years of experience working with video within game engines and 6DoF experiences
  • 3+ years experience in self-driven development, solving ambiguous problems through rapid iteration
  • 3+ years experience working in game engines (e.g. Unity and Unreal)
  • Able to understand and drive complex, minimally-defined projects to best outcomes
  • Experience independently defining and driving technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of video (e.g. containers, codecs, encoding for use in various playback environments)

Nice To Have

  • 3+ years experience with Computer Graphics and Shaders
  • A good design eye and the ability to design/build 3D assets
  • Portfolio featuring examples of interactive prototypes for AR/VR/MR headsets

Commitment:This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. This position will be remote and available to candidates who are based on the West Coast. Preference will be given to candidates based in CA.
