Are you excited about building the next generation of virtual, mixed, and augmented reality devices? Meta seeks a motivated and experienced team player to serve as Associate General Counsel for Meta Reality Labs, where world-class engineers are developing breakthrough technologies necessary for virtual, mixed, and augmented reality. In this position, you will work on developing product-focused legal strategies and providing legal counsel directly to the hardware engineering and sourcing teams.
Associate General Counsel, Facebook Reality Labs Responsibilities:
- Effectively counseling clients on complex, multifaceted legal issues
- Leading technology transactions, including licensing, development, partnership agreements and other commercial agreements spanning hardware and platforms
- Analyzing IP and other legal issues to support the design and development of VR/MR/AR hardware and related software technologies
- Influencing and driving strategies across multiple teams
- Influencing and building relationships with clients, product teams and peers across Facebook
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to analyze and communicate legal risks
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 8+ years legal experience with law firms and/or in-house experience with technology companies
- Experience supporting hardware development and engineering teams
- IP and commercial transactions experience
- Experience with technology related legal issues
- Experience building influence with business clients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting teams focused on one or more of the following technologies: consumer product system development, wireless technologies, audio technologies, and semiconductors
- Experience working for a consumer products company
- Experience addressing legal issues related to technology platforms, standards setting organizations, and ecosystems
