About The Role

Mass Virtual is currently seeking a professional Technical Writer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating technical documents, guides, and manuals, have the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner, and work with our team and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity of product descriptions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit technical procedures, manuals, and guides for training modules and software platforms.
• Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy materials.
• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
• Manages updates and revisions to technical literature as needed.
• Conduct instructional research.
• Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
• Create supporting materials.
• Approach complex challenges head-on, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand, translate, and document learning requirements.
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• BS degree in English or similar communications field.
• Proven experience working in a technical writing field or similar.
• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles.
• Talent in showing ideas graphically.
• Ability to interact with subject matter experts and product developers.
• UX design documentation skills and the ability to storyboard.
• Excited, passionate, proactive and self-motivated with an enthusiasm for learning.
• Must be able to adapt to new technologies.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional research and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  
  

Great To Have

• Certification in technical writing
• Experience in Unity3D or Unreal Engine based training environments.
• Experience in highly detailed Virtual Reality environments
• Graphic design knowledge
• Basic scripting knowledge

Working Conditions

• In-office 100% of the time
• The person in this position must be able to stay stationary for long periods of time
• Some travel may be required for this role
