Expected compensation: $86.00 - $97.00 per hour

HireArt is helping the world's largest social network find an experienced Prototyper (AR/VR) to explore, prototype and create experiences that define the future of how people interact in AR. In this role, you will build and enhance prototyping platforms in partnership with other prototypers and technical teams.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who has 4+ years of prototyping experience. You have a portfolio (required with submission) that features examples work throughout the prototyping process (i.e. concept art, asset creation, interaction design and completed experiences).

As a Prototyper (AR/VR), You'll

  • Develop immersive experiences, from visual design through software implementation, for prototype AR/VR hardware.
  • Collaborate with researchers across teams and with differing academic backgrounds.
  • Experiment with bold ideas in areas including optics, haptics, tracking, displays, computer vision, user experience, audio and perceptual science.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of prototyping experience
  • 2+ years experience shipping 3D software products/projects with Unity, including working with Unity with C# 3D assets and tools/electronics (raspberry pi, arduino)
  • Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Portfolio featuring examples work throughout the prototyping process (i.e. concept art, asset creation, interaction design, and completed experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in 3D interactive experiences and proficiency in Unity and/or Unreal as well as related tools (e.g. Photoshop/Blende)
  • Experience developing VR/AR projects
  • Experience with implementing user studies
  • Geometry and math related to AR/VR (e.g. matrix algebra, projection operators)

Commitment:This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. This position will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to Redmond, WA.
