About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Functional QA to join our team. As a Functional QA, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products and applications. You will work closely with our development team to understand project requirements, create test plans, and execute test cases to identify and report any defects or issues. Your attention to detail and ability to think analytically will be essential in ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality and user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and specifications
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and functionalities, ensuring maximum coverage
  • Perform functional testing on various software products and applications to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues
  • Document and report bugs and issues in a clear and concise manner using bug tracking tools or other designated systems
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and isolate issues, provide necessary details, and assist in the resolution of defects
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that defects have been resolved and that software updates or enhancements do not introduce new issues
  • Collaborate with the QA team to establish and improve testing processes, strategies, and methodologies
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in functional testing and quality assurance
  • Participate in the review of product requirements, user stories, and design documents to provide valuable feedback and identify potential issues
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development lifecycle by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities
What You Need To Succeed
  • Proven experience as a Functional QA or a similar role, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proficient in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control tools
  • Ability to understand complex software requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
  • Solid understanding of different testing techniques such as black-box testing, white-box testing, and regression testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent professional experience
