About The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Android Game Developer to join our dynamic team. As an Android Game Developer, you will be responsible for the development of mobile applications and games for Android devices using the Unity game engine. Your primary role will involve creating immersive and high-quality experiences while ensuring smooth performance and compatibility with Android platforms. If you’re a creative problem solver, have a keen eye for design, and are excited about pushing the boundaries of mobile technology, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Unity Development: Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using the Unity game engine, with a primary focus on Android platform
• Coding: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C# for Unity, following best practices and coding standards
• Game Design: Collaborate with UI/UX designers and artists to bring concepts to life, create gameplay mechanics, and design interactive experiences
• User Interface: Design and implement user interfaces (UI) for mobile applications, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience
• Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure compatibility with various Android devices and screen sizes, adapting the application as necessary
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
• Performance Optimization: Optimize mobile applications for speed, memory usage, and battery efficiency
• Version Control: Use version control systems (ex. Git) to manage codebase and collaborate with other developers
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Stay up-to-date with latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve development processes
• Implement best practices for securing data and protecting against common mobile app vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, designers, and QA, to deliver high-quality products on schedule
• App Store Submission: Prepare and submit applications to the Google Play Store, ensuring compliance with store guidelines and requirements
  

What You Need To Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of proven experience as an Android Mobile Developer
• Proven experience in Unity game development, specifically for Android platforms
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics and animations within Unity
• Strong proficiency in C#, Java, and/or Kotlin programming languages
• Strong understanding of Android development tools, including the Android SDK, and Android Studio
• Strong understanding of mobile app development concepts, including UI/UX design, optimization, and performance tuning
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  

Great To Have

• Experience with AR/VR development using Unity
• Familiarity with shader programming
• Published mobile apps or games on the Google Play Store
• Ability to present an app from both UI/UX and background operations
