Your tasks


  • Identify and analyze AR/VR/MR applications that drive technology requirements from a wireless connectivity perspective (e.g., 5G/6G, WiFi) and how they impact test and measurement solutions from an end-user perspective
  • Define overall project strategy from a technology perspective, by working closely with our customers, other technology experts, and R&S product management
  • Close engagement with customers and industry partners; adjusting and finetuning project plans and product strategy based on these requirements
  • Contribute feedback from customers and industry to help influence the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software product(s)
  • Work closely across multiple product development fronts to ensure 5G/6G product relevancy, successful introduction into the market, and its timely delivery
  • Organize and lead inter-departmental meetings to drive customer requirement discussions, define project tasks, and set project and development milestones
  • Work with Account Managers to drive customer discussions and investigations with the long-term goal of developing strong partnerships into 6G
  • Represent Rohde & Schwarz in industry organizations, such as the Metaverse Standards Forum (MSF), driving and managing external partnerships and collaborations
  • Act as a key resource for 5G/6G/XR content creation and sharing, both internally and externally

Your Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field
  • 7+ years’ experience in engineering, project management or program management within the XR/AR/VR industry
  • Proven experience in the field of multimedia technology
  • Passion for XR technology, the Metaverse, and its potential impact on the world
  • Self-starter. Ability to manage, influence, and set the direction of multi-faceted, multi-disciplined teams and programs independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to articulate a vision and influence decision-making and outcomes both within internal teams and external partners through exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with cloud architecture and computing platforms targeting the deployment of extended reality applications, e.g., Nvidia’s Cloud XR and Omniverse solutions
  • Additional consideration will be given for experience with 3D content authoring and creation processes in a consumer-focused setting

This is a full-time position with a total compensation target salary (base + commission) range of $137k- 230k plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
