Title: Research Scientist III
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12 Months contract
Hourly Pay Range: $60-65
Summary: We are looking for scientists and researchers with interest in color sensing, color perception and color management for AR/VR products.
Job Responsibilities
Develop ambient light sensor and color sensing technologies for consumer devices.
Light sensor and image sensor data collection and analysis.
Color perception research in augmented reality.
Camera and display color calibration and characterization.
Psychophysics experiments and user study on camera and display tuning
Camera color processing modeling and analysis
Heavy involvement in the initial product realization and bring-up.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Imaging Science, Color Science, Optics, Image Processing, Physics, or a related field.
3+ years experience (inclusive of graduate school research experience) in sensor characterization, human vision, imaging or color science research and development.
Knowledge of color and optical measurement methodology and metrics.
Knowledge of camera and display system working principles.
Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, Matlab, C++/C#.
Preferred Qualifications
MS/PhD in Imaging Science, Color Science, Optics, Image Processing, Vision, Physics, or a related field.
Knowledge of human perception and color science.
Understanding of light sensor, image sensor, camera and display hardware systems.
Experience with camera image ISP and display processing pipeline and architecture.
Experience with user study, human perception and psychophysics experiment design.
