Developers, researchers, engineers, and designers all working together to help build a more expansive – and more inclusive – future for all of us.We’re looking for a seasoned, influential analytics leader to drive data-informed product and business decisions for Meta’s Reality Labs business unit (RL). This person will lead all data science and data engineering teams across all product and business areas and will play a critical role in helping Meta deliver our metaverse vision and build the next computing platform powered by augmented reality and virtual reality. The ideal candidate asks the most important questions, holds a high quality bar, leads with data, is a persuasive storyteller, change agent, strategist and action-oriented people manager.


VP Analytics, Meta Reality Labs Responsibilities:


  • Inspire, lead, grow, and drive high levels of performance from a globally distributed team of more than 500 data scientists and data engineers spanning every aspect of Reality Labs including VR, AR, Metaverse, MetaWorks, AI, Content, Sales, Ecosystem, Trust, and more.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership of all RL products and business functions to build and strengthen a data-driven culture where high quality, independent, data-informed insights are driving all key RL decisions across all our functions.
  • Lead development and communication of RL-wide insights and recommended action items with RL and Meta executive leadership teams, and Meta Analytics leadership.
  • Guide RL and Analytics team to consistently make sound decisions in completely new and emerging categories by exercising creativity, comfort with ambiguity, curiosity, bias for action, and ability to be adaptable and lead through change.
  • Establish and nurture strong cross functional relationships to be most effective in accomplishing all the above


Minimum Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of work experience managing analytics teams, working collaboratively with Product and Business teams, and guiding data-influenced product and business planning, prioritization, strategy, and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, retaining, growing, and scaling diverse, geographically dispersed, high-performing DS and DE teams.
  • Proven experience influencing strategy and driving change with senior executives across org boundaries through clear and compelling communication of data-driven insights and analyses.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in consumer electronics, consumer subscription, or omni-channel commerce businesses.
  • Experience with driving analytics for a brand-new category and/or rapidly scaling business or product line.
  • Experience with both product and business analytics work and demonstrated knowledge to deliver an integrated approach.
