VR Artist/Level Designer
Location: Cincinnati No travel, work in office w/some days remote

We are seeking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a VR artist/Level Designer. This position will work closely with a key client’s global multi-functional brand and sales teams to develop best-in-class VR experiences and 3D development. Creating visually stunning, effective packaging that resonates with customers and drive sales.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate 3D Tech Art assets through collaboration with various artists on the team, which may include particle systems, animations, VFX elements, and various systems.
- Optimize rendering and content creation pipelines to improve quality and improve performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Unity and Unreal related to tech-art content creation and rendering.
- Create and implement high quality real-time or pre-rendered VFX assets such as particle systems, animations, and effects that enhance the visual experience of the project, while meeting technical standards.
- Utilize advanced offline rendering software and techniques, to achieve high quality project specific VFX assets
- Optimize VFX for performance while maintaining the visual aesthetic standard set for the project.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Visual design or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in VR interactive design and development , with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills across various mediums (agency preferred).
- Experienced developing multiplayer VR experiences on different headset
- Expert in modeling (3D Studiomax), UVs, PBR texturing and materials (Substance 3D Collection), and image editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Strong portfolio showing abilities in creating high to low poly modeling, clean topology, texturing, and strong artistic and technical ability
- Attention to detail and ability to work on both strategic and tactical levels.
Required Knowledge & Competency
- High proficiency in Unity asset assembly (prefabs, import settings, materials, textures)
- Experience creating BlendShapes in 3D StudioMax
- Strong understanding of Unity lighting methods (baked, realtime, mixed)
- Strong understanding of modeling and texturing techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing and executing client vision
