Location: Cincinnati, work in office w/ 3 days per week remote

We are seeking for a highly motivated individual to join our VR and 3D content team. This position will work closely with a key client’s global multi-functional brand and sales teams to develop best-in-class VR and 3D designs. Creating visually stunning, effective packaging that resonates with customers and drive sales.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Build visualizing products, and rendering high end visuals for clients, as well as the ability to problem solve independently.
  • Build creative and graphic concepts and execute the visual strategy for the brand across consumer touchpoints including packaging, promotional materials, visual communications, eCommerce, etc. that can be successfully measured against creative brief.
  • Develop and design high quality packaging materials, including labels, boxes, and cartons for a variety of products.
  • Collaborate with brand leaders, art directors, cross-disciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients to develop and execute compelling design solutions and engaging ideas rooted in strategy that moves business forward
  • Produce high-quality 3D assets including modeling, texturing, materials, and lighting, for consumer goods products
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Refining layouts, images, and fonts
  • Develop design guidelines to ensure consistency across all packaging materials
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of design trends and software tools
  • Ensure the final production and digital files meet quality, accuracy, ADA, and brand standards
  • Prioritize deadlines and effectively manage multiple creative projects parallelly
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior artists


Required Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in 3D design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills across various mediums (agency preferred).
  • Vray experienced designer
  • Expert in modeling (3D Studiomax), UVs, PBR texturing and materials (Substance 3D Collection), Unreal engine and unity.
  • Strong portfolio showing abilities in creating high to low poly modeling, clean topology, texturing, and strong artistic and technical ability
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on both strategic and tactical levels.

Required Knowledge & Competency

  • High proficiency in Unity asset assembly (prefabs, import settings, materials, textures)
  • Experience creating BlendShapes in 3D StudioMax
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine and Unity lighting methods (baked, realtime, mixed)
  • Experience working with unity VR and headset is required, along with knowledge in UDP and HDRP lighting, Lumen lighting and path tracer rendering
  • Strong understanding of Hard surface modeling and texturing techniques
  • Possess strong visual and illustrative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing and executing client vision
  • Highly skilled at branding, typography, and layout design
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey their design ideas and collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Should organization and prioritization skills to ensure all projects are completed on time.
  • Strong attention to detail and be able to spot errors or inconsistencies in the designs and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to adapt to changing design requirements and be flexible in their approach to design.
  • Should have a comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging design trends, technologies, and industry techniques.
  • Should have a strong mentoring skills to guide, mentor, and motivate junior designers, ensuring consistent quality of work.
