PICO is a leading VR/AR platform with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. PICO is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Focus on experimental simulation, prototyping, data collection and signal processing.
• Optical components, module, system level simulation.
• Design experiments and test platforms for visual performance evaluation.
• Conduct user studies which will inform optical design and architecture
• Define specs for next generation VR/MR/AR cameras and see-through experiences.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience in RGB camera, image sensor, depth camera, optical metrology, instrument control.
• Experience in image processing pipelines using matlab, python, etc.
• Experience in optical ray tracing and deep understanding of geometrical optics.
• Excellent communication skills; highly self-motivated, solid teamwork skills in a highly multi-functional team environment.
• Ability to work proactively in a collaborative, highly multidisciplinary and fast paced environment.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Unity, Blender, Rhino, Maya.
• Experience in computer vision, stereo-camera, 3D computer vision and reconstruction algorithms.
• Opto-mechanical design experience is a plus.
• Experience in delivering optical modules/products from early concept scope to engineering development, and finally high volume production is a plus.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $126000 - $306000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
