We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the Platform Design team!


What you’ll do:


  • Conceive of simple, intuitive and innovative features and interfaces to deliver on the core value proposition of Spectacles
  • Design end-to-end user flows for the Spectacles operating system UI
  • Design end-to-end user flows for the Core Experiences enabled by the Spectacles platform
  • Contribute to all stages of the hardware and software research, design, prototyping and production process
  • Formulate strategic design proposals that align the product’s core value, the state of the art in technology and the needs and pain points of our users
  • Define the software UX requirements for features on the Spectacles Platform
  • Design detailed design specifications and partner with engineering teams to integrate our design vision into the product
  • Deliver final art assets, redlines, animations, and mocks to engineering or the prototyping teams responsible for building them
  • Work with the User Experience Research team to understand the user, test the experience and Iterate on the UI/UX
  • Regularly give and receive feedback on design and prototyping iterations
  • Showcase your work and iterate on the design directly with the CEO
  • Be a leader - Snap is a design-led company and as a designer you will be expected to lead projects, people and the product vision


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to design and build delightful interfaces and experiences in 3D
  • Ability to design using Figma, Creative Cloud and similar creative technologies
  • Proficiency in creating 3D art and shaders built in Blender, Maya, Cinema4D, etc., and integrating them into game engines like Lens Studio and Unity.
  • Passion for and experience in AR/VR and Spatial Computing.
  • Ability to develop relevant product strategies, rapidly think creatively and lead the ideation process across broad product areas of design explorations.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years experience designing delightful experiences


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Passion for VR/AR and Spatial Computing
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills


Compensation:


In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.


  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary for this position is $145,000 - $210,000 annually
  • Zone B: The base salary for this position is $138,000 - $200,000 annually
  • Zone C: The base salary for this position is $123,000 - $179,000 annually


This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
