Position Overview

Virtual and augmented reality are transforming design and creation through new immersive and collaborative experiences that will impact how major segments like entertainment, architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing converge. The industry is being transformed by XR(AR/VR/MR) technology growth, creating new ways of working to review, collaborate and create.

In this role, you will be part of the XR team responsible for driving XR strategy and pushing the development of XR in the Autodesk portfolio and ecosystem. Our team guides and assists product groups across Autodesk to deliver XR workflows to our customers.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, Sales and Marketing professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to uncover insights that contribute to the success of our solutions. Your technical expertise in data analysis and strong business acuity will be essential in driving innovation, improving user experiences, and shaping the future of XR technology. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Product Management, XR. This role offers a chance of learning a lot in a dynamic team, working on brand new tech, while still being part of a large organization with the support that comes with it.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to define key metrics, product analytics requirements, and develop data collection strategies that align with product objectives
  • Extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in user behavior on different platforms
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide stakeholders with real-time insights into product performance and user engagement
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to evaluate the impact of product changes, feature releases, and marketing campaigns, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization
  • Perform A/B testing and statistical analysis to assess the effectiveness of new features, content, and user experiences
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data availability, integrity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting and analysis
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, in the technology or gaming industry
  • Proficient in SQL/NoSQL and experience working with databases
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data sets
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and experience applying statistical techniques to analyze and interpret data
  • Should have designed and guided implementation of Product usage analytics (e.g., DataDog, Sentry)
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Segment, Tealium)
  • Proficiency in Data Visualization/BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Team player and a fantastic collaborator
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker
  • Familiarity with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, or EMR
  • Experience with XR(AR/VR/MR) or Cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with 3D tools used in Architecture, Engineering & Construction and/or Design & Manufacturing industries
  • Good balance of social, technical and business skills, is passionate about XR technologies and wants to have an impact on Autodesk, our partners, and our customers
  • Basic strategic thinking while also being interested in remaining close to technology

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
