We are seeking a Prototyper on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The main function of a Prototyper is to research, design, and create prototypes in required areas including augmented and virtual reality. The candidate in this role is responsible for building and enhancing prototyping platforms in partnership with other prototypers and technical teams. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Denver, CO, New York, NY, Houston, TX, Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, and San Diego, CA.


What You’ll Do


  • Research, design, and create interactive prototypes and internal data collection applications
  • Analyze the results from the data collection applications
  • Perform failure analysis and recommend the next steps to raise the quality of Virtual Reality or Extended Reality (VR/XR) interactions
  • Implement new features and fix bugs with interactions/gestures to make the team feel better in VR/XR
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to build and enhance prototyping and data collection platforms
  • Set up and maintain prototypes and present them to various audiences
  • Communicate analysis to cross-functional partners
  • Give and solicit real-time feedback from others in order to approve the quality of the product
  • Partner effectively with Program Managers (PMs), engineers, user researchers, content strategists, and Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Contribute to strategic decisions, working with the Design, Product, and Executive teams
  • Create product-ready assets for internal rapid testing and external release
  • Increase the quality of gestures, and build the tools to help collect data
  • Understand VR developments at hand


Must-Haves


  • 8 -10 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with real-time 3D development in Unity required
  • Expert programming ability in one or more languages (C#, C/C++, Python, Java) required
  • Experience with Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and game development required
  • Experience with Input technology in AR/VR, and designing experiences for hands and controller inputs required
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving ability are required
  • Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images
  • Expert problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills


Education


  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required


Hours & Location:


  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
