Role: Senior Virtual Reality (VR) Developer

Job Type: Contract

Location: 100% Remote Chicago, IL

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

Senior Virtual Reality (VR) Developer (5-8 years' Experience)

• Lead the development of enterprise applications in virtual reality
• Create solution design and refine the system throughout development
• Work with multiple members of the development team and product owners to perform development
• activities, get support, review work to implement the correct solution and ensure quality of delivery
• Analyze business requirements and accordingly design/develop the solution
• Create the user interactions as per the interaction design guidelines
• Collaborate with designers to come up with optimal user interactions in the VR solution
• Define user interface and interaction guidelines
• Work across multiple platforms including Desktop, VR headsets and mobile
• Work on unity software
• Guide and mentor team of junior developers

Qualifications

• The individual must be highly entrepreneurial
• Experience in creating custom AR and VR experiences for enterprise use cases such as training,
• manufacturing, healthcare, digital twin, etc.
• Strong working experience in environment and asset optimization and configurations for various types of
• interactions
• Expertise in dynamic content loading
• Have previously worked on integration of XR frameworks and SaaS solutions specifically meant for XR
• Exposure to cloud solutions integration
• Working knowledge in integration of avatar systems
• Conceptual knowledge on different 3d formats and conversion tools and VR and AR compatibility
• Experience in backend services integration
• Experience in networking skills TURN servers, TCP, UDP, Firewalls & Network Security
• Experience with real-time audio/video communication platforms and technology
• High level Knowledge of 3d concepts such as lighting, shaders, materials, modeling ,texturing , animations
• and formats etc.
• Working knowledge of agile software development processes
• 5-8 years of experience as a VR developer
• Strong working experience on unity software
