Established in 2017 in Irvine, California, Gamma Interactive is a game studio specializing in VR/AR. Founders have entrepreneurial background, with over 50 years of executive experience software, VR, AR, mobile, web, and game production. The company is currently executing on multiple projects in games and marketing sectors.


We're looking for multiple seasoned, VR-focused software engineers to help us bring multiple products to market. This is temporary position with a potential to grow to permanent role.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect efficient and reusable systems that drive a complex AR/VR application
  • Prototyping new interactions and features with an eye toward intuitive usability and feel
  • Drive design and implementation for proposed experiences in AR or VR
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to achieve compelling experiences
  • Participate in daily Scrum stand-ups, regular check-ins, bi-weekly sprints, and demonstrations
  • Other relevant duties as necessary

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience as an engineer shipping user-facing features on games or other 3D interactive products
  • Significant experience with Unreal Engine and C++
  • Experience developing for Unreal Engine utilizing Blueprints
  • Experience building and optimizing Android apps from Unreal Engine
  • A personable and open-minded attitude geared for effective cooperation with both internal and external development teams; strong interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with virtual reality (Rift, Quest, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.)
  • Experience developing with Gameplay Ability System
  • Experience with VR Expansion Plugin
  • Experience with real-time multiplayer games
  • Experience developing enemy AI
  • Experience in UX design or game design
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience


The anticipated range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
