This role will work closely with Meta’s global policy team and cross-functional such as public affairs, legal, comms, and RL to set and coordinate the execution of strategies in pursuit of RL’s policy priorities. This role will be responsible for threading together different products, policy issues, stakeholder groups, and engagement priorities into high level, long term goals that shape both how the company builds the next era of computing and how the external policy ecosystem understands Meta’s products. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity. They will be able to identify a long term strategic vision, even when others disagree, and move people in support of it. The candidate should be a self-starter, apt negotiator, and creative problem solver who is able to bring different teams together to tackle complex issues. This candidate will possess strong leadership and communications skills, be passionate about Meta’s mission, and work across various teams and regions.


Reality Labs Policy Manager Responsibilities:


  • Partner with regional and functional policy teams to set long term strategy and near term plans in pursuit of AR/VR products
  • coordinate execution of these priorities
  • Collaborate with policy teams, external partners, and multi-stakeholder organizations to shape an external policy environment that promotes innovation and supports RL technologies
  • Execute on RL-related policy priorities
  • Build infrastructure and processes to scale the RL Policy team’s impact
  • Act as a strategic advisor to company leadership on RL-related policy issues


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience to drive multiple simultaneous projects
  • Executing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • 8+ years of experience working on complex, multistakeholder, multiregional policy issues
  • Experience planning and executing cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience leading broad stakeholder groups to achieve complex policy goals


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Understanding of AR/VR technologies
  • JD or equivalent, MPP, or technical degree
  • Experience working directly with senior executives to support business decisionmaking
