Location: Lake County, IL USA

Compensation: $65.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance. Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $150,000.00

We are looking for a Senior Level (6-8 years exp) Automation & Virtualization Technology Consultant to contribute to the planning, research, development, deployment, training and project management for newly proposed and current Automation Technologies and Augmented/Virtual Reality Technologies within a Life Sciences Client. This individual will need to be effective in a hands-on position working with RPA, Microsoft HoloLens/MetaVerse/Sharepoint/In depth O365 and should posses extensive cloud and AWS knowledge. This candidate will research, present to team and ultimately present to higher ups on new and new capabilities on existing technologies in the realms of Automation and Machine Learning as well as Augmented and Virtual Reality software and SDLC process around them. This candidate will also posses in depth skills of Microsoft Office with extensive knowledge and experience around the various Power Applications in O365 Exceptional interpersonal skills and high-level communication skills are required to be successful in this role.

The Automation and Virtualization Technology Consultant will work within a Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing/Life Sciences Organizations under the division of Quality Programs. As part of the Quality Innovation Program of the client is looking for an experienced IT professional to work with technology innovation and new capability projects in the Quality Manufacturing Operations space. The resource will work with individuals across multiple areas including quality systems, content management systems, quality laboratories systems and data analysis. This position will require the ability to understand complex business processes and explore ways to improve them using technology.

There are 5 main spaces this position will touch on:

  • Global Enterprise Quality Systems
  • Content Management Systems including ComplianeWire GxP Learning and Qualification Management System as well as Label Management Systems
  • Quality Systems utilized in Laboratory Environments across the globe
  • Migrating Technologies
  • Data Strategy

Automation & Virtualization Technology Consultant Responsibilities
The Automation & Virtualization Technology Consultant will be analyzing business partners domain to identify potential improvements to existing products or processes through the following activities:

  • Conducting research to identify new technologies that could impact the Client’s operations
  • Working with management to develop long-term strategies for the organization’s growth and success
  • Recommending changes to products, services, or processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs through presentations and executive level business communication skills
  • Conduct proof of concepts and pilots to test new ideas and determine value before implementation.
  • Conducting market research to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with various internal IT organizations and external vendors to accomplish research and testing.

Automation & Virtualization Technology Consultant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in information technology
  • General knowledge and understanding of AWS services, Cloud computing, Microsoft Office 365 including Dynamics 365, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Data science, Object Character Recognition and others.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC process
  • Preferred Project Management skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills around technical technology with knowledge and experience with complex SDLC processes
  • Must have executive level communication skills with ability to make compelling presentations to high-level executives
  • Ability to conduct complex technology research and analyze highly complex information
  • Ability to develop functional requirements, system design and architecture design documentation, etc
